From adding the Compass function to geolocation capabilities, Jobba is finding new ways to build contractor-centric technology.
While at the 2024 International Roofing Expo (IRE), Lauren White got the chance to meet up with Eugene Zukowski, a senior product specialist from Jobba Trade Technologies. Eugene shared with Lauren two major features that Jobba is rolling out this year, Jobba Compass and the integration of new features like geolocation for their scheduling program.
The Jobba Compass is a support feature designed into Jobba’s existing system that utilizes artificial intelligence to give the user the most tailored and helpful information. Eugene elaborated, “Anywhere you are in the application, if you get lost, if you get stuck, you’ll be able to hit the light bulb and it’s going to pull up a self-help guide that’ll really kind of just says, okay, what do you want to do?” The program can tell what screen or stage you are at and it will provide three different ways to learn how to solve your own problem – written guides, video tutorials, or an interactive session called “follow me” that leads you through the process of adding data to this system in real-time.
Eugene explained the goal of this program, “We want to empower our clients to take advantage and get that return on investment, get that help. And obviously everybody learns differently. So, I think that the ability to learn what’s more comfortable for you and how you learn is really the key here.”
The other big release for Jobba that was showcased at IRE was the geolocation feature in their Jobba Power Board scheduling program. On the base level, this program is already powerful. Eugene mentioned their preplanning feature where “you can plan, you can make changes and not send notifications out to your customers or your tech, getting everybody confused.” This allows your scheduling process to be more efficient, which is what their new geolocation feature also aims to do.
This allows you to see where your team is scheduled to be and figure out the most logical person to send to a new ticket or job site as it pops up. Eugene explained, “This helps avoid wasting time and gas. And empowers you to respond to customers quicker.” Eugene explained the design mindset behind these releases, “Our biggest focus is we are a company that prides ourselves on working with our contractors. We don’t just make these decisions in the vacuum. We take input from our contractors; we have them involved in the process.”
