Last month, Jobba Trade Technologies’ Scott Keith, Chief Executive Officer, and Steven White, Chief Transformation Officer, attended the Roofing Alliance Meeting. Scott and Steven traveled to sunny Sarasota, Florida for the bi-annual member meeting. The Roofing Alliance is the foundation of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA). The Roofing Alliance has four core values: Education & Training, Technology, Sustainability, and Philanthropy. Each of these pillars helps achieve its mission and vision of promoting the advancement of roofing through research, education, technology, and charitable programs.
The meeting lasted two and a half days and had multiple events and presentations. Some of the speakers were NRCA’s former CEO Reid Ribble and COO of Sentinel Executive John Powers. Along with these brilliant speakers was Richard Seaman, Chairman of the Board at Seaman Corporation. Richard’s program highlighted his book, A Vibrant Vision: The Entrepreneurship of Multigenerational Family Business. In his presentation, he discussed his process of growing a small family business into a sustainable multi-million dollar organization. He also shared many statistics about multigenerational businesses and many not being able to survive or grow.

Another standout presentation was the funding requests and program updates that addressed The Roofing Alliances’ education value. Dr. Dhaval Gajjar from Clemson University shared their progress with the three-credit roofing course they implemented in their education. He also shared an incredible presentation about developing the workforce for retention during the labor shortage.

Networking with many successful roofing professionals was on the schedule too. Steven and Scott were able to mingle with some of the top roofing professionals in the industry. They chatted with Brad and Doug Sutter from Sutter Roofing Co. of Florida! Sutter Roofing is a loyal and long-time user of Jobba’s FCS program! Sutter also has been defying the odds of generational decline by continuously growing its business. Scott and Steven also connected with Naomi Dupre, the President of Kirby Fiberglass. They connected with many different industry experts, and Jobba is excited about future opportunities!
